Summercon is known as the world's oldest (and drunkest) computer hacker convention. While it has been held in many places around the globe, it has called the ATL home for the last two years. We're happy to inform you that it will be held in ATL for 2009! Other cons may try to tell you that they will be 'informative' or 'ground breaking'. We at SummerCon can only promise you the time of your life and an opportunity to meet life long friends. If you happen to learn something, we take no responsibility. We didn't think she was going to get back to us, but friend of the show, Marisa Fagan, finally submitted her bio and abstract. We pushed back dinner by a bit, which shifted the two talks after, but we're gonna be just fine (and drunk).

The schedule is finalized. The T-Shirts are made. The hotel is ready for the Summercon invasion. It's almost time to drop a bomb on this dump!

There's only one slot left and it comes after dinner (aka everyone will be trashed by that point). So you can take this to be the final schedule. We appologize for there not being a group hotel rate, but there's not much we could do.

We've got most of the workshops setup. Take a look at the schedule and presentations. If you want to follow along in the workshop you will need to prep your laptop accordingly (or bring the appropriate equipment).

April 1, 2009 - CFP: Call for Papers!

Ok lads/lasses,
It's time to request papers for SummerCon 2009. Although there is only going to be one track, We'd like to do two different kinds of presentations. The first will be your traditional presentation with slides, speaking, drinking, etc. The second could be considered a workshop. The workshop sessions should include a 'follow-along' type presentation with prerequisites for con-goers. Things that seem interesting to us are Windows wireless (sniffing, packing injection, etc), beer/booze, hardware hacking and anything involving Futurama; or just submit anything you think is interesting, hell we don't care**

March 26, 2009 - Location Announced!

SummerCon will continue to be held in midtown Atlanta on Saturday, June 6, 2006. The hotel, formerly known as the Midtown Wyndham, now Hotel Midtown will be the location. We will be in the bottom floor, which is the same room we used in 2006.
