Summercon is a social event like none other. Those of you who have attended in the past know that we can get a little rowdy at times. You also know that our rowdiness is all in good fun, and we don't want anyone to get hurt or any property to be damaged or stolen. Lest any new attendees think that "hacker conference" is merely a convenient excuse to go all Turok on the hotel, please be aware that we neither condone nor tolerate bad behavior on the part of attendees.
Summercon is like a family, and sometimes families have to deal out savage beatings to those members who break the rules. Please think before you act--I hate bruising my knuckles.
From the Summercon announcement, here are the ground rules:
"If you love anarchy, want to break things, set off fire alarms, or generally behave like a twelve year old, you probably should stay away--even if you are a twelve year old. Especially if you're a twelve year old. It's not that kind of event, and we're not those kind of people. Even though we're a group of hackers, breaking the law is still illegal.
If you're interested in meeting your peers in the security world, meeting some of the finest people you'll ever know, putting some names to faces, and learning about the latest trends in security analysis, we'd love to see you. Mingle, socialize, meet people. It's your party."
I love this conference.
